The panel’s purpose is to shape the N’NINKIE Approach by leveraging collective expertise to develop grounded and effective strategies. We aim to promote #ShiftThePower in Sierra Leone and beyond by collaborating on innovative solutions for sustainable development cooperation. Additionally, the panel will work with policymakers to drive impactful changes in both the global north and south.

Rugiatu Neneh Turay is the Director and Founder of the Amazonian Initiative Movement (AIM) and a tireless advocate for women’s rights. With over two decades of dedicated leadership, she has spearheaded transformative change in Sierra Leone, addressing critical issues such as gender equality, human rights, education, and community empowerment.As a long-standing partner of PfefferminzGreen, Rugiatu has played a pivotal role in fostering the growth and impact of AIM’s initiatives. Her contributions to women’s rights and development have made her an indispensable member of the N’NINKIE Panel of Experts, where she continues to inspire and drive progress for sustainable, community-led solutions.

Mr. Mohammed Haji-Kella is the Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Social Welfare in Sierra Leone. A dedicated public servant, he has been instrumental in shaping social welfare policies and programs that promote the well-being of vulnerable communities across the nation.
With extensive experience in community development and governance, Mr. Haji-Kella is committed to advancing social justice and fostering inclusive growth. His leadership continues to play a pivotal role in addressing critical social challenges in Sierra Leone.

Tommy Garnett, is a Sierra Leonean, trained in Agricultural and Development Economics with a distinguished career spanning education, conservation, and environmental advocacy. He founded the Environmental Foundation for Sierra Leone in 1992, to address the environmental impacts of civil conflict and unregulated mining. In 1997, he established the Environmental Foundation for Africa (EFA), leading impactful projects on land reclamation, biodiversity conservation, and addressing refugee-related environmental challenges across West Africa.
As Executive Director of EFA, Tommy oversees programs including the Tiwai Island Wildlife Sanctuary and the Biodiversity and Renewable Energy Learning Centre. A seasoned contributor to global conservation, he has co-authored numerous publications and served on the UN Panel of Experts, monitoring economic sanctions in Liberia. Tommy is an alumnus of Cambridge University's Climate Leadership Program and a passionate advocate of yoga for resilience and well-being.

Tyson Conteh is the Founder and Director of Future View Salone, an indigenous youth lead organization striving to build stronger communities. Tyson is a professional filmmaker and a journalist. Since 2018, he has been the Director and Presenter/Reporter of BBC Africa Eye Documentaries in Sierra Leone.
His work with BBC has taken him across many countries in Africa including Ghana, Mali, Senegal, Guinea, Gambia etc. meeting and collaborating with other professional journalists. With his dedication to creativity, truth and authentic reporting, Tyson has produced breakthrough stories that are viewed across the globe with life saving impacts made locally.

Fawulay Yibba Marah is a distinguished lecturer in the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology, Port Loko campus. With 22 years of extensive academic and professional experience, Mr. Marah has made significant contributions to human capacity building in the fields of sociology, community development studies and education.
His academic career is marked by achievements in teaching, research, mentorship and curriculum writing. His unswerving dedication and commitment to service earned him an award by the university as ‘lecturer of the year’ in 2021.
Currently, Mr Marah continues to inspire students, contribute to academic discourse, and champion causes that drive meaningful changes in society.
